Get answers for important questions that we’re frequently asked at Knowledge Tree Children’s Academy

What makes Knowledge Tree different from other schools?
What are the operational hours and how many days during the year is the Academy closed?
Our hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am-6:00 pm. We are closed about 11-12 days per year, which coincides with federal holidays. Please see our Yearly Calendar for closed dates.
What documentation is required to enroll my child?
To enroll your child at KTCA, parents do need to complete our Enrollment Packet, sign our Parent Handbook, and fill out our Tuition Express Form. Our Enrollment Packet consists of required state license forms, an admission agreement, and a few other school policy acknowledgments. Parents need to have their child’s doctor to complete the Physicians Report Form.  Also, we do require copies of the child’s current Immunizations Record to be submitted. We will provide all the paperwork when family tours our center.

What schools do you transport from/to for the Before & After School Program?
We provide transportation to Sunset Ranch, Valley View, Breen Elementary, Harvest Bridge Placer Academy, Antelope Creek, and Twelve Bridges. However, this can vary every year. Please call for the most updated information.
How do the center and the teachers communicate with parents?
We have implemented Procare, a communication APP that keeps parents connected with children’s real-time activities through text and pictures. Our director or Assistant director is available daily for parents during pick up and drop off times. We also host Back To School Nights and Open House events each year so parents can spend time talking to their children’s teachers. We see communication as one of our core values. We are always available via e-mail or telephone call. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see some daily activity pictures.
What are the qualifications of the teachers?
All of our teachers are fully qualified teachers. Unlike other centers, we do not have any teacher aids, only fully qualified teachers. Some teachers have a Bachelor’s degree. All teachers are Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid certified, cleared through the Department of Justice, FBI Database and the Child Abuse Index.
How do you keep my child safe?
We have cameras installed in the entire campus. An assigned door access card must be used for current parents to come in. We practice emergency drills every month. All staff is required to have background clearance before starting employment. Only persons on the Authorized Pick Up List can pick up the child unless written consent is given. Our teachers conduct name to face headcounts multiple times per day and also during each time of transition.
How do you keep the center clean and sanitized?
We take pride in the cleanness of our environment. We have a professional cleaning crew comes for daily cleaning every night. During cold and flu seasons or when there is any sickness occurring, extra sanitizing takes place immediately. We work with Ecolab, one of the largest janitorial cleaning products suppliers. We only use food-safe grade chemicals around children.
